As part of the project “Culture Can Make It! – Connecting the dots towards a more inclusive sector for young people,” strategic meetings were organised in Shkodra, Elbasan and Vlora to discuss the implementation of Albania’s National Strategy for Culture and to validate preliminary monitoring findings.

The meetings brought together representatives of civil society organisations, young artists, cultural professionals and local stakeholders, creating a space for open dialogue on the current challenges and opportunities in the cultural and creative sector. Participants shared their experiences from local cultural initiatives, discussed barriers affecting cultural development, and provided valuable feedback on the monitoring process of the National Culture Strategy, particularly in relation to cultural participation, infrastructure, and opportunities for young artists.

These strategic meetings play an important role in ensuring that the monitoring report reflects diverse regional perspectives, while strengthening collaboration between civil society actors and cultural stakeholders. The insights gathered during the meetings will contribute to the final monitoring report and future advocacy actions, supporting more inclusive and responsive cultural policies in Albania.
